Part of the Palms Motel series, this painting depicts a stylized, nostalgic scene from a laid-back vacation destination. It’s minimalist but still lively with the tropical elements.
Artist Bio: Amber’s work draws inspiration from the natural and built environments, focusing on vibrant colors and simplified forms. Recently, her time living in Darwin, NT, has influenced her work, which explores the concept of "visual escapism" through depictions of the tropical landscape and historical architecture, all rendered in bright hues and a semi-naïve style.
A strong love for colour drives her creative process as well as an interest in architecture and mid century design.
