Commissioned by Koala to celebrate the diversity of Australian creative expression while reflecting the shared inspiration that sits at the heart of the project: the land itself.
Shannon Heath is a self-taught Australian artist residing on the Tweed Coast / Bundjalung Nation, NSW Australia. Her work reflects her vast tenure as a designer, specializing in textiles, print, and colour, married with an innate ability to compose textural, expressive compositions. Heath’s signature style employs ethereal, neon-pastel palettes building layers in dramatic, emotive tableaux. She works with methods of layering and extraction primarily with acrylics, oil sticks and non-traditional painting tools.
