Painted using a palette knife, this thickly textured oil piece captures a peaceful maritime scene. This piece was inspired by a gentle, pink sunset on Stradbroke Island and a small group of boats, moored calmly on the still sea. Framed in Tasmanian oak, this original work is perfect for conveying a sense of peace and calm.
Artist Bio: Charlotte Moore, an emerging artist, has lived on the Gold Coast in Queensland all her life. Her love of its beautiful coastline and the hills marking the transition from coast to country inspire much of her work.
Charlotte’s primary medium is oil paint and she works with an impressionist style, inspired by time spent in the natural environment. Both light and colour play an important role in her work conveying a sense of calm and peace that comes from being immersed in nature, while also evoking a familiarity of Gold Coast scenes and the Australian landscape.
