This highly textured, palette knife oil painting conveys a serene scene. A pink and lilac sunset tints the clouds and is reflected in the calm sea, in which two sail boats are moored for the night ahead. This lovely scene is a celebration of colour, while also conveying a sense of peacefulness.
Artist Bio: Charlotte Moore, an emerging artist, has lived on the Gold Coast in Queensland all her life. Her love of its beautiful coastline and the hills marking the transition from coast to country inspire much of her work.
Charlotte’s primary medium is oil paint and she works with an impressionist style, inspired by time spent in the natural environment. Both light and colour play an important role in her work conveying a sense of calm and peace that comes from being immersed in nature, while also evoking a familiarity of Gold Coast scenes and the Australian landscape.
