Artist Bio: Pooja Kaul is a Sydney based artist, originally from Kashmir, India and belongs to the Kashmiri Pandit Community. Her rich cultural heritage, connection to nature and spiritual outlook shape a practice grounded in beauty, memory, healing and meaning. Working across landscapes, wildlife portraits, still life and spiritual imagery, Pooja draws inspiration from the colours, textures and quiet rhythms of the natural world and her inner world. Her artworks combine a vibrant palette, layered techniques and thoughtful compositions, balancing realistic representation with expressive interpretation. The 1990 exodus and genocide of Kashmiri Pandits community remain a defining part of her exploration of displacement, inherited trauma, cultural preservation and the enduring search for belonging, grounding, continuity and spiritual connection. Through her art, Pooja invited viewers into moments of calm contemplation, encouraging them to discover beauty, connection and spiritual resonance in the familiar, the natural and the sacred.
