The beaches surrounding the island where I live are edged with magical rock pools. This painting is based on a photograph that I took when I spent a morning with my daughter wandering, wondering and laughing amongst the rock pools. When I was painting it I recalled the fun we had; just ourselves, the sea and our imaginations.
