The Yarra River, Melbourne. I painted this from the same view as Arthur Streeton, roughly 150 years ago. Storm clouds overhead threaten rain, the city is eerily still, the calm before the storm. The muddy umber of the river set against steely cold-grey.
Artist Bio: I have an upcoming exhibition in June 2026 at Artemisia, Windsor: surreal forested landscapes interspersed with dreeamlike elements. Previous shows at Brunswick Street Gallery (BSG), Painted City: landscape paintings of the inner north and Melbourne City, and a series on Wildflowers found in the city. I have participated in group exhibitions across Australia, and l hold a bachelor of Visual Arts & Design, Postgraduate degree in Creative Writing and Bachelor of Arts.
