Inspired by a walk in Laguna a steep, rugged mountain track after all the recent rain. The downpours had turned everything over: dirt spread across the rocky steps, colours and textures revealed underneath that would normally stay hidden.
It's what draws me again and again, the variation in even the most basic parts of nature. I zoom in on these small moments, then zoom out to paint a reflection of my time in a place.
Artist Bio: Her process is intuitive, grounded in motion rather than outcome. Lulu paints not to perfect, but to release, a meditative practice that brings her back to present. Each canvas is a reflection of the peace she finds in stillness, the way movement becomes meaning, and how beauty often lies in the unresolved. Her work evokes a quiet immediacy, felt before it’s understood.
Currently focused on expanding her practice through larger-scale and immersive works, Lulu continues to explore the edges of texture, tone, and the emotional resonance of simplicity.
