Rooted in memories of a childhood spent in the quiet rural landscapes of Escobar, surrounded by rivers, wetlands, and horses, this work invites viewers into a space suspended between memory and dream. The expansive horizon becomes a place of stillness, where the enduring relationship between people and the land unfolds through contemplation, tradition, and the gentle rhythms of rural life.
For the artist, these landscapes are more than remembered places, they are emotional territories where identity, belonging, and memory continue to resonate long after childhood has passed.
Artist Bio: Catalina has always had her artistic practice deeply connected to nature—its chaos, beauty, and transformation. Themes of life and death create a tension that permeates her work. She is inspired by altered landscapes, which manifest some of her most compelling pieces. For Leichner, painting serves as a path to self-knowledge and spiritual exploration, and she aims to transmit this passion through her brush and various mediums.
