Celebrate the colour, character and laid-back spirit of Australian coastal living with this playful original artwork from my Cool Cars & Beach Shacks series.
An iconic orange Sandman-style surf wagon takes centre stage outside a striking contemporary beach house, surrounded by tropical palms, lush greenery, a surfboard and a cheeky pink flamingo. Bold outlines, vivid colours and architectural shapes bring together retro Australian car culture and the relaxed fantasy of life by the beach.
My practice draws on memories, popular culture, Australian iconography and the familiar details that make our way of life unique. In this painting, nostalgia meets contemporary coastal design, creating a lively, slightly humorous celebration of the Australian summer.
With its vibrant orange, turquoise blue, fresh greens and pops of pink, this work is designed to bring personality and a little Aussie sunshine into a living room, beach house, holiday home or creative space.
