I love poppies and thought I’d create a graphic, nostalgic painting with cut crystal, a doily and an unusual orchid! Creating artworks with a mix of items, patterns and texture is my favourite way to paint, whilst listening to Florence and the Machine in this case.
Artist Bio: A passionate collector of ceramics, fabrics, art books, and artworks, Vanessa creates evocative, moody tableaux that blend personal objects with elements drawn from memory, imagination, and inspiration. Through a dynamic interplay of colour, pattern, and form, her compositions capture the vibrancy of everyday life, celebrating the imperfect and the intimate. Each piece is an invitation to pause, reflect, and find beauty in the ordinary.
