'As I See It #2' is a companion piece to 'As I See It #1', continuing an exploration of depth, feeling and balance. Layered in oil and acrylic on canvas, the work reveals complexity through texture, colour and intuitive mark-making. Together or individually, the works invite the viewer into a shifted state of perception. Professionally finished in a handcrafted timber float frame, the piece is presented ready to hang.
Artist Bio: Michelle, having studied abroad, has exhibited her work both locally and internationally. Her artistic process is intuitive and experimental, allowing the painting to guide her in an exploration of the unmanifested, feminine expression. While her work is predominantly nonrepresentational, subtle glimpses of landscape and the moods of nature often emerge. Michelle’s art draws inspiration from classical and romantic painters, who used atmospheric washes of paint to evoke emotion and move their audience.
