Fawn Haze is drawn from sunset at the inlet, where soft blush, ochre and cream tones settle around deep green forms. Loose, layered brushwork gives the landscape a hazy, dreamlike quality. Less a direct view, more the feeling of light fading over water and land. Warm, earthy and quietly atmospheric.
Artist Bio: Kate Paea is a Sydney-based contemporary artist working across painting and sculpture. Her practice explores memory, atmosphere and place through colour, gesture and form, often moving between abstraction and subtle references to landscape and the figure. Kate completed her honours in ceramics at UNSW College of Art and Design and now maintains an independent studio practice alongside selected design and teaching work.
