The ‘Many Moons Nights’ series uses lunar shapes, repetition and colour gradients in evoking the passage of time. Connecting with natural rhythms such as paying attention to the moon cycle lead to this abstract piece, it is part of a larger calendar-like grid collection. This painting combines deep blues & greens with dusky sky gradations . ‘Night 21’ is a little meditation of sorts, a reminder to slow down and connect with your thoughts and surrounding natural beauty. Note that hand-crafted timber frame has some natural timber variation.
Artist Bio: Jacqueline is interested in painting what it feels like moving through and connecting with particular environments. The abstract paintings build up over time with emotive colour and gooey brushwork being key.
Jacqueline has completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts, Honours in Creative Industries and Doctorate in Philosophy (Creative Arts). She has worked as an artist and educator for the past decade and has had several solo exhibitions.
She currently lives in Mcleans Ridges, northern NSW with her young family.
