A painting of Rozzis on Swanston street and people walking in the late evening. Some details, such as the two figures showing their backs to the right, are entirely imagined. The painting is made with selective detailing and focal points such as the crocheted top of the woman at left, the seated area behind yellow fencing. Warm colours, amber, umber and yellow predominate. A snapshot of modern life in the city.
Artist Bio: I have an upcoming exhibition in June 2026 at Artemisia, Windsor: surreal forested landscapes interspersed with dreeamlike elements. Previous shows at Brunswick Street Gallery (BSG), Painted City: landscape paintings of the inner north and Melbourne City, and a series on Wildflowers found in the city. I have participated in group exhibitions across Australia, and l hold a bachelor of Visual Arts & Design, Postgraduate degree in Creative Writing and Bachelor of Arts.
