This painting is part of my ‘Many Moons’ series that layers lunar shapes in holding a passage of time. In a seemingly world gone mad, noticing the natural moon cycle offers a sense of calm and continuity. A memorable ‘Harvest Moon’ punctuates the sky annually, it appears big and orangey-red.
Artist Bio: Jacqueline is interested in painting what it feels like moving through and connecting with particular environments. The abstract paintings build up over time with emotive colour and gooey brushwork being key.
Jacqueline has completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts, Honours in Creative Industries and Doctorate in Philosophy (Creative Arts). She has worked as an artist and educator for the past decade and has had several solo exhibitions.
She currently lives in Mcleans Ridges, northern NSW with her young family.
