“ASPEN” is a piece from my collection entitled “Meet me at the marble river”
Inspired by the beauty of marble—its organic veins & unpredictable nature I wanted to try capture a little of its beauty while maintaining a sense of control and intentionality.
"Azul" is an exploration of femininity in all its complexities. She is bold, commanding and beautiful. Presented in a deep handmade floating pine wooden frame that has been stained black/darkest brown.
Artist Bio: Born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1991 and raised by South African parents, I am an artist driven by curiosity and intuitive exploration. With a background in sculpture and fashion design, my work is grounded in form, materiality, and narrative through making. After returning to art during the COVID period, my practice expanded into commissioned works, paintings and limited edition prints now held by collectors worldwide. I am currently working on my second cohesive body of work.
