This is a very small but serene landscape, depicting one of the beautiful chestnut horses paddocked across the road from my house. It made me smile to create, and also gave me a sense of calm. It’s small and unassuming and would fill a gap on the wall or sit nicely on a shelf.
Artist Bio: Working primarily in acrylic, Bronwyn’s practice explores texture, form and colour to evoke a strong sense of place and connection to the natural world.
Immersed in the bushland and regional landscapes of her small town, Bronwyn draws inspiration from close observation and ongoing engagement with her surroundings. Her works often begin with field observation and reference imagery, developing into detailed illustrations and vibrant paintings that reflect both the delicacy and resilience of Australian ecosystems. Familiar environments are rendered with clarity and warmth, inviting viewers to pause and reconnect with the everyday beauty of nature.
