This painting explores the combination of traditional still life and modern graphic design. I wanted to create a sense of joy in the everyday by simplifying floral forms and using flat, bright colours.
Artist Bio: Amber’s work draws inspiration from the natural and built environments, focusing on vibrant colors and simplified forms. Recently, her time living in Darwin, NT, has influenced her work, which explores the concept of "visual escapism" through depictions of the tropical landscape and historical architecture, all rendered in bright hues and a semi-naïve style.
A strong love for colour drives her creative process as well as an interest in architecture and mid century design.
