There are unknown mysteries we should sing about.
This work is a hymn to surrender — to the quiet power that moves beneath what we can see. It was born from a desire to dissolve the boundaries of self and other, to remember the oceanic wholeness that has always held us.
Beneath the weightless expanse of water, we return to something ancient. The moon threads her silver light through our skin, softening the edges of where you and I begin and end. We become fluid — more than bodies, more than breath — a field of reflection and current, a quiet infinity.
Beneath the weightless expanse of ocean water,
We surrender to something greater.
The moon’s silver threads weave through our skin,
Dissolving the edges of where you and I begin and end.
In that moment — and the next —
We become more than bodies,
More than breath.
We are currents.
Reflections.
Quiet infinities.
The piece invites the viewer to rest in that liminal space — between presence and disappearance, self and beloved, breath and tide. It is both a remembrance and a prayer: that we, too, might dissolve into the great moonlit waters of being, and find ourselves whole once again.
