I noticed the Warren View Hotel from a distance, the first time I walked down Enmore Road. It stood out simply because it shared a name with my father, Warren. Obviously that justified taking him there for a beer.
This Linocut celebrates the way names quietly change how we feel about places.
Distorted perspective and heightened colour reflect memories rather than accuracy, turning a well-known street corner into a personal landmark, destined for favouritism.

I use a shifting block method to create vibration, and layers of bold colour.
