“The Colour I Show” is an original contemporary painting of a layered tropical artwork.
The painting began with a poured black background, an instinctive gesture inspired by a conversation about the difficulty of making joyful work when happiness feels out of reach. From that darkness, layers of vivid colour, foliage and rhythm were built up, becoming a kind of emotional camouflage.
This piece is painted in layered earthy colours, of minimalist tropical plants with moments of gold.
This artwork is for anyone else who puts on a joyful demeanor despite feeling down and in a dark place. It's a reminder that we all portray a curated style on the outside, despite how we feel and if you reach out to other people and connect, that you realise that everyone has their inner pain.
This is an ideal painting for any private space in your home. It is perfect for a spot that captures some sunlight for the gold to catch your eye.
