Inspired by a journey through Tasmania several years ago, this painting captures a quiet moment discovered along a small coastal bay. As we drove past in the gentle afternoon light, the sight of boats resting peacefully on the still water left a lasting impression. The shimmering reflections, softened by the fading sun, created an atmosphere of calm and timeless beauty. Through expressive brushstrokes and layered colour, the work seeks to evoke the serenity of the landscape and the fleeting poetry of travel — those unexpected moments that quietly remain in memory long after the journey has ended.
