This abstracted landscape artwork reflects the quiet joy and connection I have with my surroundings. Through layered textures, patterns and soft organic movement, I explored the sensory discoveries that continually inspires me while bushwalking near my home at the foothills of the Blue Mountains National Park, NSW. From the meandering rocky paths to the trails full of scrunchy leaf litter I always find these offer small moments of joy and inspiration.
This artwork is framed professionally in Oak, varnished for protection, signed on the front and back and includes a certificate of authenticity.
Artist Bio: Debra's early years on a farm in the rural Hawkesbury region of New South Wales instilled a deep connection to the land. Being surrounded by wide open spaces and the rhythms of country life, she developed a long lasting appreciation for natures quiet beauty.
After pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts from Western Sydney University, Debra continued for decades creating only privately, Until 3 years ago she decided to finally share her artworks.
While primarily working with acrylics, artist markers and watercolours, Debra's progress is grounded in experimentation. She explores line and patterns, organic forms, layered surfaces and contrasting textures to craft a visual language that both feels intuitive and lyrical. Her practice is ever evolving, marked by a sense of curiosity and discovery.
Debra's distinctive style has already captured attention, with her work featured on the television show 'Dream Home' on channel 7. Also this year Debra has made her first appearance at the Affordable Art Fair at Brisbane.
Debra remains committed to translating her deep-rooted connection to the landscape into artworks that resonate with emotion and authenticity.
