‘That Was Yesterday’ captures the essence of wandering through sun kissed streets, each building holding untold stories. With its bold geometric composition and vibrant color palette, this original acrylic painting is a modern ode to nostalgia, a glimpse into a moment frozen in time.
Inspired by mid century modern design, the artwork blends clean architectural forms with a sense of curiosity and movement. Alleyways leading to hidden corners, warm facades glowing under sunlight, and the quiet hum of life that lingers long after we pass through.
Signed on both the front and back along with an attached Certificate of Authenticity.
Artist Bio: Gina is an Australian artist, living in Brisbane. She is known for her structured compositions that intertwine bold tones with hidden emotional depth.
While flirting between architectural and figurative subjects, her paintings are infused with refreshingly clean contrasting abstract lines that are harmonised with a dynamic tonal palette. Her signature sharp defining edges evoke additional depth and dimension through the subtle mismatching of her geometric compositions.
Her use of metaphors and proverbs through her titles are a way to tell her story through her colourful pieces as a collective and individual identity. Of late she holds a particular focus on the female persona and experience.
