The Balance In Between #2 is part of a small body of work that explores the ongoing tension between opposing forces in life, and our attempts to bring them into harmony — where neither fully overpowers the other. It reflects a mindful, evolving process, one that shifts and develops across the different stages of our lives.
Artist Bio: Cath Michael is a Brisbane-based artist whose work draws on nostalgia, mid century design and vintage treasures. After stepping away from a long finance career due to illness, she returned to her creative roots and took up painting full time. Drawing inspiration from sentimental objects and cherished memories, her paintings evoke a sense of warmth and longing for times when life was much simpler.
