This painting shows a figure lying in a bubble bath within a close cropped composition. My works intention is to exemplify a sense of exploration, comfort and empowerment in feminine sexuality and desire.
Artist Bio: My practice explores self-reflexive eroticism and sexual exploration as gestures of feminine empowerment, positioning the body as a site of agency, pleasure, and cultural value through painting, drawing, sculpture, and video performance.
Working from a perspective between a Female and Queer Gaze, I challenge the hetero-patriarchal Male Gaze and reframe feminine desire as autonomous, exploratory, and unapologetically empowered.
