Red Kangaroo (Macropus rufus)
Moving with ease across sunburnt country, the red kangaroo embodies strength, rhythm and quiet endurance. It adapts to harsh landscapes, conserving energy and flowing with the land rather than against it, a symbol of resilience and balance in Australia’s interior.
Painted in warm, earthy tones of ochre, rust and soft pinks, the figures rest and leap beneath a radiant sun. Textured ground and scattered grasses create a sense of heat and movement, while the composition feels both playful and grounded, capturing the spirit of life in the Australian outback.
Artist Bio: Erin’s artwork reflects her appreciation for nature’s beauty, womanhood, the Australian Lifestyle and her personal experiences and life’s joys.
