An abstract transcription of a photograph taken while travelling. The work captures Iluminada, a girl I met along the way, whose joy and generosity allowed this moment to be preserved. Warm forms and bright color convey the light she carried.
Artist Bio: Elena Berkovich has intentionally ignored the realistic representation of landscapes, and the figure, investigating other abstract aspects of scenes and life cracks. Reduced imaginary, rough surfaces, shadows and many colour leyers, represent her works. the arrangement of these is expresive, the empty spaces, the composition, everything has its share.
