A painting of a King Parrot and Lorikeet perched above a string of Japanese lanterns, but set in the forests near Belgrave. From the series created for Forest Dreaming - an exhibition of paintings at Artemisia in Windsor from May-June 2026 - a forest landscape with anachronistic elements painted from life, memory, experience and various photo references. The idea of these paintings is to push the boundaries of traditional landscape painting.
Artist Bio: I have an upcoming exhibition in June 2026 at Artemisia, Windsor: surreal forested landscapes interspersed with dreeamlike elements. Previous shows at Brunswick Street Gallery (BSG), Painted City: landscape paintings of the inner north and Melbourne City, and a series on Wildflowers found in the city. I have participated in group exhibitions across Australia, and l hold a bachelor of Visual Arts & Design, Postgraduate degree in Creative Writing and Bachelor of Arts.
