No matter where we move or how much our surroundings change, the way morning light filters through a window or dances on a wall feels beautifully familiar. In my work, I use the layers of paint and the fluid movement of ink to capture that exact feeling—the warmth of a fleeting moment and the memories it triggers. These semi-abstract pieces aren't just about the light we see, but the light we carry with us; a gentle reminder of where we’ve been and the warmth we find along the way.
Artist Bio: Kevser Ugurlu lived in three different cities—Ankara, Tokyo, Sydney—which gives her a rich background of experiences and perspectives that deeply shape her artistic voice. As a contemporary visual artist, she explores themes of migration, displacement, and searching for a homeland through watercolour and mixed media on paper.
