“‘Treasured’ is a tribute to those breathtaking moments in our environment, where nature’s colours meld with one another, like our memories so often do. Beautiful landscapes and views where what’s considered ‘ordinary’ by some are considered ‘extraordinary’ by others.
And so to, the hush before dusk, the embrace of a salty breeze, the reverence a seemingly simple coastline evokes. Some beauty is not meant to be explained, only felt. The little ordinary moments felt here often become those extraordinary moments to be treasured.”

Artist Bio: Living on the outskirts of Canberra with views to the Brindabella ranges, and a protected nature reserve close by, Sharon is constantly inspired by trees and mountain ranges, beautiful sunsets, and cloud formations. However, the coast is her absolute passion. With the NSW South Coast not far down the road, influences emerge from the refracted light through moody clouds and ocean waters, from lush headlands and breezy shorelines, and from the scenic roads, hills and valleys she travels through to and from.
These road trips to the coast, and back to her childhood hometown of Wagga Wagga, are also a huge inspiration for her sought after roadscapes, often with her signature pink road. Also highly sought after, her figurative beachscapes that capture quiet moments alone, or with loved ones on the sand.
Sharon considers painting her therapy. Still living with chronic pain, she makes a conscious decision daily to seek light, pursue peace, and find joy. Her artworks are a reminder to always look for light and hope, no matter the trials and challenges we all face. It’s no surprise then, the adage she uses for her art journey is “…capturing light, painting hope”.
Now widely collected both in Australia and internationally, she’s enjoyed recent success as a Finalist in Art to Art’s “Unearthed” Art Prize 2025. She’s also been fortunate to have several of her artworks featured on Channel 9’s The Block in 2024, and had her work featured in Grand Designs Australia Magazine. Sharon has gallery representation in Brisbane, a retail stockist in Melbourne and considers it a privilege to have sold over 700 original artworks to both Australian and International collectors since she started her art journey only 7 short years ago.
