This painting is inspired by the shapes of the Sydney Opera House. The curved forms echo the famous sails of the building while also suggesting soft sheets and quiet indoor spaces.
‘Between sheets and sails’, plays with the idea that familiar shapes can appear in different ways. It connects a personal, everyday moment with one of Australia’s most iconic landmarks.
Artist Bio: His artwork is inspired by creating paintings of faces or similar, that attract and entice the wonders of obscured expression through experimental brush strokes and colour.
A unique and distinctive style could best describe the artwork by conveying human emotion and interest.
Practising art at a later stage of life, was a natural transformation into painting. Capturing a style through life experiences has lead Henza to tell a story that empowers a solid, but obscured journey through the paint brush onto canvas.
