'Plum Pudding' is one of a series of tablescapes that are concerned with themes of memory and shared experience. Lisa is interested in how vessels and remnants of meals are lingering reminders of experiences shared by the visitors to the table. Her technique focuses on layering, glazing and rubbing back collage material and acrylic paint, and exploring the interplay between positive and negative space. This is an expressive artwork and has a palette of turquoise blue contrasting with warm oranges and earthy tones.
Artist Bio: Lisa began painting fulltime from her Brisbane home studio in 2022 after an earlier career working with children and their families in health, education and art gallery settings. Play and exploration is an important part of Lisa's art practise and she loves allowing her artworks to evolve intuitively over time.
