I am interested in the way that landscapes can be both representational and symbolic. This small landscape painting references visual experience on a road trip in the country, where the path ahead stretches out into the unknow with the beginning adjoins the end almost repetitively. The road itself forms a metaphor for our journey of life, while the passing of time may be ephemeral, the imprint of which is lasting. Victorian Ash Frame
