Artist Bio: Artist Luke Jackson ‘s home and studio is in Melbourne, Victoria.
Jackson has been an Art Curator with ten plus years of experience in facilitating exhibitions in arts both overseas and in Australia.
Jackson has no formal art education. Many members of inner and extended family are artists, notably father(dec) a humanitarian videographer working in Afganastan and Cambodia and mother a painter.
Paperbag studio art-‘ Working in charity sometimes I often meet those using their skills to find shelter. As I did in my early 30s. Sitting back studying these amazing beautiful faces (as a painter) seems a bonus a privilege to be in there space listening to long strong hardship stories as we chew the cud say a few I love yous to the apathetic and laugh to the stars above. .’
Jackson’s works are in various private collections in Australia and overseas. A self portrait of a monkeys head is included in the University of Southern California collection from his first solo exhibition.
His main outside influences are Ovid a a Roman poet who lived during the reign of Augustus. And Various musicians both friends and strangers.
